HMK® R152 Poultice / Stain Remover is an active cleaning paste and poultice formulated to help remove deeply embedded oil, grease, wax, mastic, silicone smears, and mineral deposits from a wide range of natural and man-made surfaces.
Designed for use on polished, fine-honed, and textured surfaces, HMK® R152 can be used on natural stone, engineered stone, artificial stone, ceramic, porcelain, and concrete surfaces. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Powerful Poultice for Deep Stain Removal
HMK® R152 works as an active cleaning paste that penetrates into porous surfaces to draw out difficult stains and contaminants. The poultice may penetrate up to approximately 2 cm in depth, helping treat stains that ordinary surface cleaners may not reach.
It is especially useful for removing:
- Oil stains
- Grease stains
- Wax residues and wax stains
- Mastic-related stains
- Silicone smears and residues
- Mineral deposits
- Embedded dirt and discoloration
- Stains along tile edges caused by unsuitable silicone sealers
- Staining associated with grout or mastic sealers

Factory Filled by Weight – Important Product Information
This product has a labeled net content of 25.3 oz and is factory-filled by weight, not by volume. Because HMK® R152 is a dense paste/poultice, the product may naturally settle during shipping and storage.
When the container is opened, the paste may sit below the top rim and the can may not visually appear completely full. This is normal for this product and does not necessarily indicate that product is missing. The stated net contents are based on product weight.

Application Instructions
- Apply HMK® R152 directly to the affected surface using a putty knife or spatula.
- Work the product into the surface using a suitable brush.
- Add additional HMK® R152 as needed to create a poultice layer at least 1/8 inch thick.
- Allow the poultice to dry completely.
- Once dry, brush off the hardened poultice. Do not scrape it from the surface, as scraping may damage sensitive finishes.
- After the poultice has been removed, scrub the treated area with HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner diluted approximately 1:20 with clean water.
- Use a scrubbing brush, stiff brush, or suitable white/tan pad.
- Remove the dirty cleaning solution and rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.
For deeply ingrained or difficult stains, a second or third treatment may be necessary.
Approximate Drying Time
Drying time depends on room temperature, ventilation, humidity, surface porosity, and the thickness of the applied poultice. Under typical conditions, drying may take approximately 10 to 12 hours.
Removing Stains from Tile Edges and Joints
For stains affecting tile edges or joints, thoroughly remove the old grout, mastic sealer, or unsuitable sealant as appropriate. Apply HMK® R152 into the fully opened joint and onto the affected surface following the application instructions above.
After the cleaning process has been completed and the area is properly prepared, re-grout according to the grout manufacturer’s specifications.
Important Application Precautions
- While HMK® R152 is drying, protect the treated area from direct sunlight and wind.
- Do not apply to rubber, plastics, lacquered surfaces, varnished surfaces, or solvent-intolerant materials.
- Remove all foodstuffs from the treatment area before beginning work.
- If underfloor heating is present, switch it off and allow the surface to cool to room temperature before application.
- Do not use at temperatures below 50°F or above 80°F.
Coverage
Coverage will vary depending on surface porosity, stain depth, application thickness, and treatment requirements. Approximate stated coverage is about 2 square feet per liter.
Testing
Always test HMK® R152 in a small, inconspicuous area before full application to evaluate surface compatibility, suitability, coverage, appearance, and overall performance.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep the container properly closed when not in use and follow all storage and safety information provided on the product label.

Important: Product performance and coverage may vary depending on the type of stain, depth of contamination, surface material, porosity, environmental conditions, and application method. Multiple treatments may be required for difficult or deeply embedded stains.
