Does not work with Oreck U2000RB-1
This brush does NOT work on the Oreck U2000RB-1. The brush “fits”, but the magnet in the brush is positioned in the wrong place to be picked up by the sensor, so the vacuum doesn’t recognize the brush turning, and turns off after a few seconds. This same problem may occur on other models that use a hall effect sensor to determine if the brush is turning.

The brush was just what I needed and so far it has lasted longer than others.
It was easy to install. The grooved brush and belt is strong and the suction power is very good. It was good value for the money.

No Magnet, no Good!
Yes it fits the listed models, but all modern Oreck XL uprights use a ball magnet in the roller. Without the magnet the vac shuts down as soon as you turn it on because the sensor thinks that no roller is installed or that the belt is broken. So unless you are willing to pry the magnet out of your old roller and drill the new roller to accept the magnet it won’t work.

Works great but incorrect dimensions on Amazon
Works great. Only issue is one of the Amazon pictures says this roller is 12 inches wide which is incorrect, it is 11 1/4 inches wide.

Come on Oreck. Dont list that this will work with vacuums that require a magnet to trip the sensor that the brush is moving. Buying this will cause your vacuum to STOP after a few seconds due to not having a magnet to tell the vacuum that the roller is moving.Dont waste your time and money on this!!!!Vacuum model – U2000RB-1See photo to position in roller that SHOULD have a small magnet to talk the the sensor just above it. Older models didn’t have this, so it will work on U2000R-1.

What a Difference!
I rarely write reviews but this worked so well I thought I would. My UB2000RB-1 was hard to push. I’m no spring chicken anymore, but I wondered, “Am I just getting old?” After installing this thing, at times it almost feels like the vac is self propelled! Money well spent!

Different size curtains –
Did not work, no magnet
Fits but no magnet so it will shut off in a couple seconds. Don’t buy if yours need magnet.

Great for an Oreck Vacuum
This Oreck replacement vacuum brush works well. The old brush did NOT fall apart. I just felt that it was old and needed replacement, so I replaced it with this one. It has worked well for about one year now. The original lasted for about three years without signs of weakness and it was just dirty, so I replaced it. It was relatively easy to replace. I also cleaned my Oreck while I was at it. I would recommend Oreck to friends or family members.
