I’m no expert in buffing cloth but this one is quite a bit nicer than the ones that I was replacing from a couple old shoe polishing kits. It is quite soft but with a tight weave so it holds up well with both cream and paste polish. If you’re looking to upgrade from the stock cloth that came in your kit, this is probably what you want.

This is a well made shoe shine clothe and rounds out the shoe shine kit. Very happy with the size and construction of this cloth and it does a great job with the shoe polish. I will order a spare one for my shoe shine kit based on the quality and construction of this clothe.

To be honest I wasn’t sure that this cloth could provide much more shine than a standard buff with a hood horsehair brush. But I’ve always seen professional shoe guys finish with a soft rag so I figured I’d give it a shot. Surprisingly a soft cotton cloth like this actually is able to bring out quite a bit more luster especially in glossy finishes like the black alligator boots I posted a pic of. Pretty cool.

I have decided to use this cloth exclusively for the leather cover of my iPhone. I have a green Apple leather phone case that readily shows scratches from fingernails, everyday use, etc. To condition the leather, I use FRYE waterproof balm to ward off scratches and stains.This shine cloth buffed out the scratches easily it hands down buffs the leather balm way better than a microfiber cloth.
