Just as good (maybe better) than the original
I bought this hose to replace the factory hose that came with my Shark Rotator Pro, which split in several places. I read the reviews about this product before purchasing and some say the plastic is thinner than the factory part–that is not true. At least, not for the piece I got. It is the same thickness as the factory hose. EXACTLY the same. It fits exactly like the original hose and works just as well as the original. Actually, maybe better. There was a little lever at the top of the old hose (where it fits into the metal pole/piece) and I never knew what it did. This replacement has actual words printed so I know exactly what it does now! I’ve had this vacuum for five years and never knew what that lever did (I lost the user manual), but now I know, and now I see how useful that function is, so to me, this replacement is better than the original for that reason. I almost bought a replacement directly from Shark, but the shipping was more and it was going to take two weeks to ship. Ummm…nope. I decided to take my chances with this one knowing that I could always order the hose directly from Shark later if this one didn’t work. Well, I’ll take this one all day. Free shipping, got here in two days, and works perfectly.

Wonderful replacement that saved me having to buy a new machine.
I found my 3 year old shark vacuum was having less suction when I used the wand. On examining I found that the hose was split multiple times at the top where it went into the handle. I called Shark and they could have sent me a replacement like this but with tax, shipping and handling it would have been the same price but I would have had to wait a week to 10 days to get it. Since I am a prime member I got free shipping and got it in 2 days. I did have to look at youtube to figure out how to get the handle off the wand. It was so ridiculously easy that I am embarrassed I could not figure it out myself…lol . It took about 2 minutes to replace with this part and it works great. I love that you get the complete hose/handle and it is so easy to replace. I would highly recommend this if you find your old hose has cracked and split.

Good Replacement Part
The hose on my Shark Pro Liftaway Vacuum tore, so it was no longer functional. I didn’t really want to buy a new vacuum, so I looked on Amazon to see if they had replacement parts. I was a little worried about this replacement part not working because my vacuum is about 5 years old, but it fits perfectly fine. The handle is differently shaped than the original and the color doesn’t match (it’s redder than burgundy), but it functions as it should. I should be able to get a another few years out my vacuum now!

Exactly what we needed but the price seems unfair.
It fit our vacuum perfectly. It makes it feel like a brand new vacuum but it cost about half the price of buying a brand new vacuum. I realize it’s an essential piece but it doesn’t add up to me that the hose should be so expensive. So the product is great, they lose a star for the cost, it was about $70 when I got it.

Works perfectly- easy to install
Awesome! My hose on my shark has been broken for a while. It ripped and I just tried to duct tape it. That wasn’t working so I finally ordered a new hose and it was SUPER easy to remove the old one and snap the new one into place. Like a brand new vacuum!You can see in the pictures that there are some slight differences, hopefully these are upgrades. You can see how on the duct taped/broken hose, the hose used to hang straight down. The plastic piece supporting the hose is flipped around so the hose now goes up and then down. That plastic piece is also firmer than the original. Maybe this will somehow help the hose not to rip again?? The suction power adjustment piece is also slightly different but still works great. I also have it on full suction anyway.

Worked Great
I thought that I was going to have to drop a couple of hundred on a new vacuum when my original hose started cracking. Then I saw that it was a replaceable part. This one fit perfectly, was easy to install, and works well. Works so well I forgot I had replaced it, until Amazon nagged me about reviewing it, haha.

Price and Availability are up and down across all of the internet, not just Amazon. Paying $40+ for a new hose seems kinds of expensive to me; I don’t think the hose should account for 25% of the total cost of the Vacuum.All that being said, we love our Shark and the money was worth it. We had worn a hole in the old vacuum. This one is now used in our guest house and we got another new Shark while we waited for the price to come down on the hose.It is horribly easy to install… it took more time to unpack than it did to install the hose. Very happy with the purchase.
