Description

Polished, Honed & Textured Surfaces – Alkaline Base

APPLICATION:

An alkaline base cleaner for polished, honed and textured interior or exterior porcelain tile. HMK® R161 removes construction dirt, wax finishes, soot, grease and oil. Recommended for initial cleaning prior to impregnation with HMK® S43 Porcelain Tile Impregnator and for periodic maintenance. HMK¨ R161 should not be used on other surfaces. Avoid contact with metal since fumes will cause etching.

Note: For removal of cement/grout residue, use HMK® R63 Concrete Film Remover.

DIRECTIONS:

Protect all adjacent surfaces. Use tape or plastic drape. Thoroughly wet area to be cleaned first to avoid bleaching. This step is mandatory. Apply full strength or diluted 1:3 – 1:5, depending on situation. Let R161 act on the surface for a short time. Keep surface wet. Scrub with a white/tan polyester pad, hard bristle brush or sponge and rinse twice immediately. First rinse should be a flood rinse. The use of a floor machine and a wet-vac will help speed up the process and improve the overall outcome.

COVERAGE:

110-220 sqft., 10-20 square metersat full strength, 330-550 sqft., 30-50 square meters per 1 liter (34 oz.) container diluted.

WARNING:

Contains Sodium Hydroxide. Corrosive. Avoid eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water. Keep out of reach of children. See Material Safety Data Sheet.

PACKAGING:

1/2 liter cans (17 oz.) 20 per case, 1 liter cans (34 oz.) 12 per case, 5 liter cans (5.68 qts.) 4 per case, 10 liter cans (11.36 qts.) 2 per case.

STORAGE:

Store in cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.

Always test product in an inconspicuous area to determine suitability, dilution rate, acting time and performance.
