Does not fit like original.
This replacement bag insert is oval instead of round and is very difficult to get in place. It sticks out weird too so the hose cant be screwed on tightly. I literally had to duct tape the hose on to make it work. Definitely not compatible with all shop vacs.

Poor product, good service.
Product looked like it was made with a 3d printer. It came cracked where the round piece met the flange. I returned it with no problems. Product was 1 star. Service bumped it up to 2.

Will ruin your bag
Recived product, went to install on bag and noticed the deflector is a very tight fit on the bag, so much so the force you have to exert will damage the bag (see photos). This product is also 3d printed, and makes audible cracks when inserted and pulled out of bag, (which is very hard to do).I just dont know how long this thing would hold up, im out a very expensive bag filter because of this thing, if you’re looking for a replacement deflector I’d stay away from this one.

Improves life of bags and filters.
I lost the device that came with my vacuum. I use my vac with a Dust Deputy on my sandblast cabinet. Without this air diverter, bags wear out in a couple days. This resolved that issue.Would be better if the vacuum had some other way to accomplish this. I already had to retrieve this part from the trash. Pay attention and do not discard with a full vacuum bag

I saw bad reviews – They must have changed product – This is great
I have a 20-year old 18 Gal. Shop Vac. Still runs great so when I lost this part I went looking for a new one. I was very nervous about purchasing this after I saw some very bad reviews. But there were no other options, so I went for it. I can tell you that the plastic is of high quality. It is strong, slightly flexible like you would expect from high grade plastic. It looks injection molded to me. But, I’m no expert. Also, it fit perfectly into the after-market Shop Vac bag I purchased from Home Depot. I hope this and the pictures help.

Seller got the message. This part does now fit and is plenty strong.
I was wary of this part due to voluminous bad reviews regarding shape and quality. I think that this is still a 3-D printed part, but the quality and fit greatly exceed what the earlier reviewers experienced. Many said that they returned the part and I was prepared to do the same but I needed a diverter so I took a shot. I’m glad I did, because Shop Vac is out of business so OEM parts are impossible to find.

Based on the reviews of the older version it appears they switched to injection molding for this version fit great is just flexible enough to get in place and holds the filter bags properly. Not much else to say except it works.

I don’t know if they’ve changed the product, but the one I received is an apparently high quality injection molded piece. It appears to me to be like the original, and is working as well as the original. The hose fits and it fits the bags.

Not an exact fit
This is not an exact fit on my shop vac. I need to gently bend it to fit in the shop vac and when installing into the bag. I actually tore a bag the first time.I’m glad I have it b/c it works to a certain degree but not perfect. Also should be much cheaper than it’s listed price.

Fits perfectly
The “new design” deflector that I had in my shop vac was constantly resulting in torn bags due to the 90 degree change in the position of the deflector. The “old design, heavy duty” deflector fit my unit perfectly, directing air flow/debris down into bag. Problem solved!

Crappy 3d printed piece of crap
This is a 3d printed part, not the part presented in the photographs. It is printed too large and will rip the bag to shreds trying to install it. Save yourself $23 and skip this part. I am going to return the one I ordered as it is unusable.

Buyer beware- this is NOT as pictured or described. It is a 3D-printed part. The quality is mediocre, the print resolution is poor. It is not a true replacement part, the fit is inaccurate.I will be reporting the seller for false advertising, you should too.

Works but flimsy
Works and fits great. However, it feels way flimsier than the original shop vac part which broke on me. I’m not particularly rough on anything. Time will tell. If this part breaks again, I’ll get a new shop vac from a different brand.

Direct replacement
This product is a direct replacement to the factory piece. It works great at deflecting debris into the bag or straight into the vacuum chamber. The quality feels solid and should last the life of the vacuum. Great buy at a great price.
